Wired's review:

Can't say I agree with their opinion...

OMG. Absolutely clueless. Altough, Nokia is to blame for not including a on-screen tutorial for stooopid reviewers?

Yeah, it's kind of hard to fathom how they could cram so many factual errors into so little space. The comments thankfully seem to set the record straight. Even I might have been enraged enough to add anonymously a comment...

When I get mine, then I can say if I'll agree or otherwise. But they have a point... the 1ghz A8 is second tier at best - OMAP4 is already used in Archos Gen 8 devices, as well as the Motorola Atrix 2 (recently released).

Lock screen is a double tap (right?) so not too difficult to get past.

And MeeGo is a dead OS. Tizen is next.

Oh, and the camera isn't as good as the N8. So not sure I'd call it a plus.

Oh sure, that's one of the few things they got right in the review. There's no denying the N9 hardware is not top of the line. And they also got right that there's minimum amount of ports, and the battery is non-removable.

All in all it seems like they know what the hardware is. But have no idea about the OS.

Oh and true, MeeGo is dead. So are dinosaurs. Both are cool nonetheless .

Unfortunately reviews of that tone are going to be the vast majority.
People that do these reviews...
Rarely try to assess the device they're reviewing thoroughly.
Esp. if it's an entirely new OS/UI/ecosystem etc.
The only review I've read where there's been in-depth/well-considered analysis, was GSMArena's.
And even that review didn't really convey the total picture.
Reviews -by their nature- are too flawed/limited unfortunately

Bah! They bothered to write a review just to whine about how dead meego is. Very useful.
