Anyway to get the BBC Radio stations into the Internet Radio application?

Just use the BBC site.

As far as I know you cannot add them to the internet radio app

You can add them. Go here with the browser and choose the link for the radio station you want. It will open in the media player and you can then save it to radio station library:

I have the Extra Decoders codecs installed. I don't know if that is needed to listen to these streams through media player. But for me they work fine.

Every night I listen to Internet radio stations with my N800.

Recently I found these BBC addresses:

etc.

I have wondered for years why Nokia did not produce
a dedicated Internet radio device based on N800
technologies.

Or don't, as the BBC have discontinued these streams this year, as I discovered to my disgust when I tried to get coverage of the Palace - Liverpool game this afternoon.

It appears that some other communities have a playHLS plugin using ffmpeg to get acces to the aac streams. Any chance we could use something similar?

Which is great, insofar as it goes, but these are the international mp3 feeds which don't carry coverage of sports for which there are international broadcast rights like, for example, the FA Cup. Though Palace lost in the end, so that's not a worry for a while...

I dare say audiophiles would also like higher bitrate audio files. (OK, streams, but that doesn't work as well. You can tell I'm mainly after Radio 4, can't you?)
