Let me start by saying I did search but I couldn't locate what I'm looking for but... I'm using this guide to try to install KDE on my N810

http://www.thisweekinnuclear.com/KDEonN800.html

I'm stuck at this part

# cd /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/
# tar zxvf initfs_flasher.tgz (check location of Tar first)
# cd initfs_flasher/
# ./initfs_flash

When I type in cd /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/ it says ," can't cd to cd /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/"

Also, I noticed that file manager says my SD card is corrupted... is this part of the installation or will that require a re-flash?

Sorry if these are basic questions which I'm sure they are but I don't have a lick of linux experience...

maybe try without the /.documents/ part?

I'm not sure, but all this means is that the directory isn't there.
just use xterm to find your initfs_flasher.tgz file. the command to show files/folders is just ls

so just cd through the whole file system, or at least the part after /home/user/MyDocs/ probably and find it. like i said, just use the "LS" command

thanks, I got that part now, however the next step,

# insmod /mnt/initfs/lib/modules/2.6.21-omap1/mbcache.ko
# insmod /mnt/initfs/lib/modules/2.6.21-omap1/ext2.ko

produces this...

cannot insert ' insmod /....' : File exists (-1): File exists

Any ideas?
