Hello All,

Mobile Tablets! is pleased to announce an upcoming two-part interview with Peter Schneider, Head of Maemo Marketing at Nokia. Part 1 of the interview, dealing with Maemo5/N900 is due out soon; to be followed by Part 2, centering on Maemo->MeeGo and going forward.

I will update this thread when each part hits the press. If you have the Planet's feed on your RSS reader, you can catch the interview there. Otherwise head over to the Planet directly.

Errr.... I am not that sophisticated. Look forward to a text-based Q&A similar to the previous ones I've done

Good questions; thank you for asking about the organisation of Maemo devices and peoples roles within this organisation. I asked that question here in the forum a while ago and was stoned to death for "invading peoples privacy". It's cool to get the answers through your interview now. Thank you very much.

From reading that, it implies that nothin with DRM will ever hit Maemo5, only meego devices.

That would make sense, given the shift in strategy.

I think it was always the plan to have DRM be in Maemo 6 (Harmattan) - now called the first instance of Meego. At the Maemo Summit, it was pretty clear that this was a major differentiator from Maemo 5.
