There is a Maemo meetup in Toronto and Vancouver for April 21 and 22, respectively. Looks like it is organized by 'Mobile Geeks of Toronto/Vancouver'.

Samir Agarwal, Head of Maemo Operations, Mountain View, CA will be representing Nokia at both events.

I'll be at the Toronto one. Hopefully there will be a large turnout!

And don't forget to bring your N900 and other Maemo device(s) with you.

I'll be going too, this will be my first event I've been to though, so it might be a little awkward :S

See you there!

Updating this thread. Perhaps the OP can change the title;

***URGENT UPDATE***
***EVENT POSTPONED***
As you may be aware, there is a travel situation in Europe. Unfortunately, Samir Agarwal is currently stranded and will be unable to join us for the event.
I am really sorry for the short notice, but this means I am therefore postponing the event, with a new date TBC, but likely to be Wednesday May 5th.
I hope you will all understand the situation, and I look forward to seeing you at the new, rescheduled event.
Thanks for understanding, and please spread the word - I will be posting this message through as many channels as possible, so apologies if you receive it more than once.
Tom

I cannot change the title. But, the meetup is presently cancelled. Hopefully it will be rescheduled.

I'm not exactly sure, to be honest. WOMWorld is rather vague on the details. I'm expecting to have a beer, meet some Nokia guy (I don't recognise his name) and see some other Vancouver Maemo enthusiasts. I have never seen a single Maemo device "in the wild" in Vancouver before...

I'll be in the middle of my break, so I might show up. I've seen 4 or 5 maemo devices up at SFU
