I'm a bit puzzled by the messages I get from the Application manager and running apt-get in the terminal. I've upgraded to devel - what should my /etc/apt/sources.list look like? Also - is it save to use apt-get next to the application manager app (installing and upgrading packages)?

- the "Catalogs" tab in the application manager doesn't match the sources.list. Is that normal?
- apt-get throws invalid signatures and hash sum mismatches

To avoid confusion: the application manager only show 'extras' packages from the community. You can't upgrade the system from here.
It is not normal you don't see the same sources.list in app manager btw.

When you run app manager, most of the time it starts apt-worker in background for few minutes so it is not recommended to use apt-get at the same time to avoid random errors.

To clarify: I don't mean running them at the same time. But can I run either without restrictions? In Fremantle I remember "don't do apt-get upgrade...".

Also I'm aware that you can't upgrade the system from the application manager. My issues remain:

- apt-get throws invalid signatures and hash sum mismatches
- what should my /etc/apt/sources.list look like?

Thanks!!

You should have in your list:

Devuan chimaera
Devuan chimaera-update
Devuan chimaera-security

Leste chimaera
Leste chimaera-devel

And for apt-get invalid signature, sorry never seen error like that, indeed something is probably wrong in your sources list.

And yes you can safely use apt-get upgrade with Leste

That error can come if using some old Leste image.

OK, but then mine looks good to me, except for the ascii ones. Or what do you say?
Code:

deb https://pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged chimaera main contrib non-free
deb https://pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged chimaera-updates main contrib non-free
deb https://pkgmaster.devuan.org/merged chimaera-security main contrib non-free
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste chimaera main contrib non-free n900
deb http://maedevu.maemo.org/leste ascii main
deb http://maedevu.maemo.org/extras ascii main

I used this one: maemo-leste-1.0-armhf-n900-20231203.img

Judging from the date it seems quite recent.

yes it is latest.

Did you:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt.get upgrade
before you try install something?

Wow, those ascii ones have nothing to do here.
You should remove them immediately, update then dist-upgrade again.

And now i get it for the key signature error...

Thanks Teyrok.

Well, the last img is already very old ( i mean what is inside)
The next one should be really different (out of the box)
