I should have check which topic you posted this to.
Although your reply "That would be amazing but it's only for the N9 at the mo. " was a bit confusing.
Maybe you shoudl change the title to:
"Autodisconnect on the N9?" because GSM App as a topic title can be everything...

Surely this would increase battery life considerably??
An app that forced GSM at all times (allowing for connection to wifi) - however when certain (selected) applications are in the foreground/open (optional) 3G activates.. (then deactivates after x amount of time in the background).
Easy to do?
Vote for these brainstorms if you want any of these functions.
N900 3G throttler (battery saver)
Wireless Media sync (over wifi)
Enhanced/Integrated telephone number search
Fix the track numbers in Music Player
