Thanks for the program, the funny thing is I started learning python just to make this application for my nokia n800 because the lastfm protocol itself is sufficiently easy to implement with almost any language. I got as far as installing python and reading some tutorials when I happened to notice this on the maemo planet and thought what a perfect timing =) so now i'm not sure whether to try to implement one myself thanks to your good job. Maybe ill still try just to learn some python.

Yep, damn incredible little app. First streaming tool I've used on the 770 that doesn't crash. It's been running constantly for about 12 hours now without a hitch. Yay!

Installed it, started it, found I had to get a last.fm account, made one, entered that first URL and pressed 'Play'.. couldn't have worked better! Nice program, I don't need more than that (I'm fine with the UI).

Funny thing happened first time I ran Vagalume on my 770 w/ 2006
OS. I clicked Vagalume (it installed to the "extras" folder) and Canola opened! I closed Canola before trying to get it to stream Last Fm. I then opened Vagalume and was able to stream from Last Fm. So, I'm wondering if it's possible to actually use Canola to stream from Last FM. This would be better as Vagalume doesn't allow one to pause a track and it has no volume feature, like Canola.
Any way to do it? It should work as I can stream other internet radio stations with Canola.
