I would love to install the default Nokia N900 sounds (SMS, email...) on my Jolla mobile, but I can't find them ANYWHERE. They're not on forums, they're not on download sites, they're not even on YouTube!

Can anyone please help me find a copy of the default sounds from the Nokia N900? I miss them (and that phone) so much.

osso-sounds-rtc is OSSO sound files for chat/calls/presence. Direct link

osso-sounds-ui is OSSO sound files for widgets: including new email, alarm, battery low, shutdown... Direct link

There is also Nokia Tune, trade-marked in some countries.

[Edit]
It seems you will have to get around the strange-long-number - it was turned into *-stars - manually. Go here and see if you can go further; you are looking for nokia-binaries/o/osso-sounds/osso-sounds-[ui-or-rtc]_5.6+0m5_all.deb
[/Edit]

[Edit2]
When you have got the deb, you just need to extract it - carefully, so that it would not put its files all over your phone-computer-whatever - and choose which files-sounds you need.
[/Edit2]

Best wishes.

I successfully downloaded and extracted all of the audio files from those packages. Thank you!

...but the SMS sound isn't in there. Any idea where it might be hidden?

For SMS alert, there are:
Beep
Message1
Message2
Message3
Message4
Message5

They are in maemo-ringtones-mr0. Thanks to vitaminj, you can grab it like this:

Code:
wget --auth-no-challenge https://qa9recEP:Pat2UGuP@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0/maemo-ringtones-mr0_1.1+0m5_all.deb
I my case, it worked like:

Code:
wget --no-check-certificate https://qa9recEP:Pat2UGuP@downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0/maemo-ringtones-mr0_1.1+0m5_all.deb
Thank you. Best wishes.
