I have done a bit of reading on the 770 ever since it came out last week.
I have found out that the tablet is powered by a CPU AND a DSP.
I was however a little surprised to read that the 770 could only handle low res videos (See Maemo video encoding wiki).

Does anybody have hope that this will be improved? I.e. is the current player taking advantage of the DSP? Will anyone be able to squeeze more performance from the tablet?

Any comments much appreciated.

yes i'd like a technical viewpoint as well, ssince its open source shouldn't be hard to make a few tools to convert your videos for the nokia.
