Changing Themes and Rebooting Can Brick Youre N900

Changing themes to new buggy themes will brick youre device

This was the reason for me having to flash my N900 for the 1st time...

oh, and the 2nd time!!

But I have found that phone may be recoverable from this!

If it is only stuck while booting:
* (*) * * *

Go here and try this! http://wiki.maemo.org/User:Jebba/Flash
I am yet to try this, so cannot say myself if it works
so be careful!!

I wish people would stop using the word "brick" when they really mean "cause you to reflash".

Do you have the output from dmesg before you reflashed? Which themes do you feel were the problem. How did you install them? Had you installed any third party apps? Were any from the testing or devel repos?

this is why I'm trying to get people to stop posting themes that are not in proper packages.

I still wouldn't install them in deb format right now since Theme Maker isn't working right. I would only get them from extras since those have all be repackaged after theme maker did its thing.
