Hi Community!

Perhaps some gifted developer are interested in this project: iEmu - emulator for iPhone4 Hardware (Hardware made by Samsung)

The main target is at the moment to emulate CPU, GMU, Bus controller, Audio and other more or less important hardware related stuff.

Some dude could already imaginate a working emulator with a installed iOS6 on top, running several iPhone exclusive applications at our decent LG MeeGo devices. But there is still a lot of work to do before something like this could happen.

Have a look: Development Status

ENJOY HACKING!

There's already a qemu version capable of booting Android, it is on the Android SDK. This is though mostly useless if you want to run applications (slow), but it will probably help their project (running GNU/Linux on the iPhone).

No, not jet. But it is possible in the future to compile it for maemo. And no, this is not my project. I only found it on a german news page and I thought some dudes could find it interesting. :-)

This is a bit off topic to the primary subject but I just wanted to add that I've been watching iDroidProject's progression over the past month and it seems that a couple of talented individuals have just recently gotten OpeniBoot to load a minimal linux kernel on A4 hardware, and it seems that one of the members are starting work on getting a minimal initramfs booting as we speak.

Perhaps MeeGo could eventually see the light of day on an apple handheld after all

You're searching the forum once a day for the phrase "some dude" - am I right?
