I like to repair old phones as a hobby, mostly Nokia. Sometimes they have software issues thought and that is the hardest part to fix in some phones as I live in Finland and I would like the phones to have finnish firmware for language and keyboard which are hard to find these days.

http://mobilestore786.blogspot.com/2...ash-files.html

There is latest firmware files to all nokia phones, but sadly they are english versions so they are no good for me. Currently I have Nokia E7 and C7 on my desk to be fixed. As I did not manage to find nordic firmware I flashed Delight CTW which are good, but if I put finnish language packs to the installation it will be stuck on bootloop. Could anyone here have some info about best ways of download those old firmware files somewhere or other solutions?

Other question is about sim locks. I have Nokia C2-01 and C3-01 which are locked to finnish operator DNA. If I go to their customer support to ask about sim lock codes there is 3 outcomes so far. Person does not know what is sim lock, person shut down the chat or just say that they have no clue anything about those things so it seems impossible to get help from operator. I asked about those sites that "open" sim locks, but they told me that they buy the codes from operator and for this finnish operator its impossible.

There is brute-force way which is only way I think? Does anyone have experiences about it?

If there would be better/bigger forum to ask about this or something please tell me. To these days those phones have mostly become spare parts, but I would like to learn to fix these software issues too so more phones would be working instead of trash.

I think that you maybe referring to Symbian SL3 Brute Force unlock which does not appertain to C2-01 & C3-01 which are S40 devices. With regards to Symbian Belle adding language to CFW see post by msirapian in this resource, presuming that you can even source the required language pack: https://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/sy...e-to-belle/15/

Actually yes, but maybe I did something wrong. Long story short. I downloaded files from here: http://www.symwld.com/delight/ and then here http://n8delight.blogspot.com/2014/0...keyboards.html and http://n8delight.blogspot.com/2014/0...ht-v64_16.html then replaced files and flashed. Got stuck on bootlogo on both.

Tested now with both E7 and C7 that downloaded firmware files from n8delight and transfered language files to installation folders replacing old files. Then flashed and now both phones are on bootloop.

Good to know. Valuable information even though this is not a symbian forum.

What would be best symbian forum to ask about those things?

Stalker But yeah. I love older not so smart phones and WAY too many going to trash for nothing, just because many does not care about recycling them instead of lefting them to rotten in the closet. Just doing my part for the world and on the side expanding own collections.

Like these C7 and E7. Almost mint conditon and batteries works well, but software was stuck. Now its working, but would like to have it to be finnish language and these would be perfect for show.

Symbian forums are inactive these days... :c
SDF recently stopped accepting new registrations.

You can ask on Telegram:

Symbian World is an active group with many members and resources.
