Lots of threads already on this, search could be your friend if you were to establish a relationship with it.

"the best" is very objective, and everyone will have different opinions for different reasons.

Indeed, search is good: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=38419

By 'the best' if you mean

- Made by Nokia
- Reasonable battery life
- Allows full transport controls
- Pretty clear audio both for mic and phones
- Allows you to use any headphone you want

I'd recommend the BH-214 as others have done elsewhere.

I've been using Nokia's headset BH-905, but very expensive. Other than the price it is a very good headset. Supports bluetooth or wired usage with several adapters for airplanes and regular receviers to name a few. Also support calling, music playback and noise cancellation with several mics for clear communication via voice. In my opinion it's worth the price having gone through many headsets including the BH-214. I do have to say the range with the N900 is not the greatest, had better range with BH214's. Got about 15ft with BH905, with BH214 got about 25ft.

BTW:

I don't post often at all, but I've been reading this forum and others for quite some time and using all the advice given from others and I just wanted to offically say to this community thank you for the outstanding job you do in making the N900 what it is thus far, a great and powerful device. Closest to a laptop experience I've had thus far from any device I had before (Iphone, N97, HTC, Treo, and Blackberry). Goal for me is to get rid of laptop and desktop and just use a smartphone, easier to travel with as I do a lot of travelling. Take care and God bless everyone.

Jawbone's Noise Assassin

Hands down best BT headset I've ever used.

+1 for the BH-214. use your headphones and uses same charger as phone (with converter) is a big plus.

I had terrible stuttering with all my Jawbones till PR 1.2. It was not usable. Now Jawbones are awesome with 1.2.

Was that your experience?

I'm using an Jawbone Icon right now and it is Killer!
