folders, folderview, icons, widget |

If someone has time, and feels it would be useful, I'd like to suggest the creation of a "folderview" widget, as in KDE's Plasma (screenshot).
Basic features:
- a flick-scrollable icon list that displays folder contents
- a configuration option to change the folder displayed to anything you like
- tapping a file opens it
- widget should probably take up all available area, as the small screen would otherwise limit usability, and resizing is (apparently?) frowned upon in Maemo 5
Would be nice:
- appropriate file-type icons
- also display sub-folders, and allow them to be browsed into within the widget (with some sort of back button or gesture)
- FOSS license? Pretty please?
Notes:
- Unfortunately, this would have to be a break from the Hildon File chooser UI design to be useful, in my opinion.... I'm envisioning it looking like a box with a bunch of buttons/icons in the style of the stock application shortcut widgets, and vertical scrolling.
