I found a lot of useful finnish POI's and it would be nice to use them with Maemo Mapper, but they are in TomTom format, so is it possible to somehow automatically convert or add those to Maemo Mappers database?

I tried to search an answer to that but all I found was something about winpoi but I can't find that software from anywhere. So is it possible to do this easily somehow?

You can use them (that is, .ov2 files), as soon as they're converted to something that can be converted into MM format. There should be a converter available somewhere. In any case it's not difficult to make one, I have a couple of perl scripts that can do it. There are also msdos tools available from TT's site that can convert .ov2 files to text.
(more later if necessary, got to run to catch a bus)

Gpsbabel is what you need :-

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=54959

Theres not much it cant do with GPS files but basically with poi files it will do an any-to-any conversion. I use the linux version to convert to gpx ( csv output seems to drop the description field ) and then a shell script on the N800 to import into poi.db.

Ok, actually I have that already but just didn't know what I should actually do with it (which format to convert to) So first I convert it to gpx, but is there maybe a shell script ready somewhere already? I haven't done any shell scripting so it could be better if theres one already
