Hallo Nokia N810 Freunde,

* libdbus-1-3
* libdbus-glib-1-2
* libgcc1
* libgcc2-0-0

Ronny

Hello Nokia N810 friends,

I have flashed my N810 again and also installed the community SSU update. Now I want some programs, such as Install Abiword. However, the installation breaks down with the mistake that some libraries lack.

Some of the missing libraries are these:
* libdbus-1-3
* libdbus-glib-1-2
* libgcc1
* libgcc2-0-0

just to name a few ... In fact, all major libraries are lacking to install and use programs ...

Oh yes, I flashed the firmware "RX-44_DIABLO_5.2008.43-7_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin". Is this missing the most important libraries? Or, should I have flashed another firmware before, because it will take the libraries, if you flash the system on "diablo"?

Is there somewhere a * .deb package, with which I can install the most important libraries? Or, is there a repository (* .install) of which my N810 can get the missing libraries?

Many thanks for your help,
Ronny

Hallo,

Hello,

Thanks for the tip. However, the links to the Console Tools (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=25714) lead to the blank (Error 404). The backup of the tools in Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...XM?usp=sharing) is no longer available.

Does anyone have these tools still there? And, a lot of tips and links from this list (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...12&postcount=1) are also no longer available ...

Ach...my bad there...
I JUST recently was doing a fresh clean up of my Google Drive ....
And deleted everything there.
Naturally the intention is to upload a fresh n8x0 care package with all the important stuff back....with the pertinent links
I just got caught with other demands while doing so.
I will try to get it up before tomorrow morning.

As far as your libgcc query goes.
Best way to find / get them for the n8x0...
Is to go to the gronmayer meta repo website...
query libgcc in the search bar under 2008 ...
and you will get a list of programs that use it.
THAT is the real key.
Knowing which programs use libgcc.
Just download / install from valid repos ...
a random program that looks interesting to you ,
that contains the libgcc dependencies ...
And voila!
you now have libgcc installed without trying to look for debs. that aren't really available outside of source.

It is a good trick to remember.

Also while at gronmayer's you may wish to grab all the bits and pieces and save them ...for xmms ...which is a stellar music platform.
One of my all time favs.

---

I have now searched for some libraries on the program catalog page, found these and the package lists - again - installed. Nevertheless, none of the necessary libraries will be installed. I repeatedly get the message that the libraries are not available on the N810.

Can the package manager not resolve the package dependencies on its own?

As far as I understood endsormeans you have to find some application having the libgcc as dependency AND have it integrated/combined in its package. That way by installing this one you will get the libraries you need available for other applications on your device.

Hallo,

Ronny

Hello,

I understood that too. But I've been able to solve the problem differently:

I have deleted all package lists from the program manager and then set up piece by piece. It seems like trying to put all the lists from http://www.gronmayer.com/it/ into a slip was wrong. Many of the program lists are also no longer active. The page should be updated once ...

After rebuilding the program lists, it now works with the program installation and also with the resolution of the dependencies.

This completes this problem. What I will do now, is to repartition the internal memory and possibly another operating system on the mini-SD (mini-SD adapter + Micro-SD) to install. If I have any questions, I'll create a new thread.

Many thanks for your help
Ronny

Ronny

Hello, yes. I try to describe what I have done to solve this problem. You're right, @peterleinchen, this information will be useful to others. OK let's go.

First, after I flashed my N810 again, I had taken "all" package lists from http://www.gronmayer.com/it/ and just loaded them into the program manager. For this it is sufficient, if one executes the program list, the file "repository.install" over the file manager. The OS recognizes that this is a program list and transfers it to the program manager. This should then ask if the lists should be set up (it will be asked for each source).

This may lead to errors, as some lists overlap. The program manager should filter out these, but this does not always work.

After several attempts to install some programs, which, as stated above, does not work, I deleted all program lists. Only the Nokia update list can not be deleted via the program manager. Afterwards, thanks to the tips above, I searched a little bit on the website "http://www.gronmayer.com/it/", in which package lists the necessary libraries are included. Since the website also shows the source address of the package lists, I've looked around, which are still reachable ... Many, more than 50% of the lists, are no longer available. So I have an individual list, which can be selected at http://www.gronmayer.com/it/, created and loaded into the program manager.

Then it worked too. I could e.g. Answer, almost 20 libraries are used here.

In the meantime I installed further programs and also extended the functional range of my N810.

Unfortunately, I can not attach files here, otherwise I would have added my current list ...

I hope this helps others here ... Oh yes, after deleting the lists in the program manager, you should maybe even look for new programs before inserting new lists. This will reset the cache. This could possibly help, if the program manager still has remaining data in the cache ...

If questions are, ask
Ronny
