Many of you are eagerly waiting for Whatsup on Jolla.
I am proud to say that CepiPerez has made a huge progress on this!
Beware that there are still some stuff missing.

So, I made a video about the Alpha version of Whatsup.
Enjoy this live action of Whatsup on Jolla:

Using Whatsup Beta0.1-2 with the Jolla TOHKDB:

Grab the latest version from here: https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.ph...63#post1502363

Please consider to donate to CepiPerez!
It will encourage him to finish Whatsup earlier

Hey that's great news! The important part I guess is if using this application will introduce the risk of getting banned from Whatsapp

Well, seems like it's not official so... lets get banned again, for good this time!

This uses the same protocol as we have on the N9, since the N9 users have not been banned yet, I don't think we will get banned on Jolla either

Still is that a good reason not to be banned?

how are things like the encryption? Can it also simply register with no issues? If this works I can make the move to the Nexus 5

Registering works, but you can also just copy the old config files from Harmattan to Sailfish, so no need to re-register. You will also have all your contacts and conversations back

I guess there is no encryption as it uses the old whatsapp protocols that were/are used in Symbian?

Could be a dead end as soon as Whatsapp phases out Symbian support.

It uses S40 protocol, not Symbian. And afaik, S40 doesn't have this encryption (yet)

I don't think they will phaseout Whatsapp soon for S40
