A new version of Garnet VM (Beta 5) has been released for the tablets!

Unfortunately, it seems they don't support Fremantle yet.

Find out more about Garnet VM here.

Installed on my n810. No troubles so far. Can't really tell a difference. The web page only lists 'stability improvements' so I guess no new features.

This one expires May 31, 2010.

I have all but 2 of my apps on SD.
dl the beta 5 (1.0.4b...2008OS), click to install via AppManager.

After installation, all my apps are still there...that is a welcome change from previous update. now I am playing with it

will be real curious if you find any real advantage. I never did really even use my apps with the previous version due to degree of difficulty.

Details?

Regarding the upgrade, there is no choice. The current version expires in one wk and your apps wont run. There are several apps I cannot do without,

drug book
medical reference book
stopwatch
contacts (I use contact to store everything I need to remember, since contact sync with PCs, I have found out this is a very safe way not to loss data even if palm crashes)
and, of coarse, games!

I think my use of the Garnet VM easily amounts to 33% of my tablet

maybe there will be version for fremantle

Almost 14 years after the first Garnet OS powered device, this operating system is still widely used and loved the world over. As a consequence, we’ve decided to extend Garnet VM’s success story. Stay tuned for exciting new developments that we have planned for 2010!

Changelog seems so short...

I'm terribly sorry, didn't get to see a thread was already opened

To me it reads more like a confirmation there will be at least yet another GVM update.

I can only say thank you, whoever wrote that at Access!

How rude!

I said I'm sorry, it's not my fault if the "similar threads" system didn't show it while I was posting...

And by the way who the hell are you to tell me to wake up?
To moderators: please close this useless thread, thanks.
