Hi!
I have installed Firefox on my N900, because I am able to sync
my bookmarks between my N900 and desktop with my own weave
server. That works pretty good.
But Firefox is extremely slow on the N900. It takes about 15s to start
and scrolling also stucks. It slows down the whole device. Am I the
only one with these problems with Firefox?

The sync plugin is installable in microb, but does not work.

Well, the only reason Microb starts up so quickly is that it is kept constantly preloaded into memory; in other words, it cheats.

I'm running Firefox 1.1 on my N900, and it takes just under 10 seconds to start up. The more recent Firefox beta versions improve on this.

I haven't noticed any problems with scrolling, though. I'm not seeing any slowdowns of the machine as a whole, either. What kind of web pages are you using it on?

FF has many problems with duckduckgo.com.
Try making a search and scroll down.
Mircob has a very ugly bookmark handling. No sorting function.

You want to sort the .xml file kept in /home/.bookmark

But I don't want to sort by manipulating config files.

That's not what I'm talking about. It's Linux and you want to write a script with sed and awk and grep and pipe it to stdout. What's the problem with this?

Yes, it is Linux, and I have no problem doing this. But if I can avoid it.
What's the sense when I have to manipulate the xml files of the browser?
This should be possible within the browser.
But that is offtopic now. It was about a slow Firefox.
