Registration for the Maemo Summit 2009 has been opened.

The summit will have free entrance, but registration is required to grant you food, drinks, a maemo.org shirt and a seat. Please register as soon as possible, so we can get a clear picture of how many people are expected.

The registration form also has an option for sponsorship requests. Details about sponsorship will be published later and requests will be evaluated after this. You can always change your registration entry at a later point in time if needed.

The event location details and a list of participants can be found here.

See you all in Amsterdam at Maemo Summit 2009!

A mod should make this sticky.

Ah, thanks - I'd looked there before, but my NoScript plugin was tripping me again (by blocking OpenLayers :-)

Great! And we have 54 participants already! I'm impressed.

Some feedback.

This is not clear:

Type
* Standard
* Speaker
* Sponsor
Standard = regular participant?
Sponsor = sponsored participant?

What is it for? Does everybody see this or it's only for admins?

Also, even if in the formk you leave "No" at I'm requesting for Nokia to sponsor my trip, after clicking Next you get back to the form with the error

The field I understand that it is in my responsibility to present passport or whatever visa I need to travel is required, please fill it out.
Filling some blabla text is not enough. Only clicking the checkbox at the end can I complete the registration.

That is only for admins, I don't think this changed from last time you used this? This is extra metadata that can be used when creating lists etc.

I'll look into this.

I had no problems registering without requesting sponsorship with my test account. You can debate that the visa question is not needed when not requesting sponsorship, but due to technical reasons we can't make that conditional.

I don't think it is a big deal that people have to always say that they are responsible for their own visa, it serves as a good reminder
