I searched the forums and every search engine. I've tried all the suggested methods of connecting my Unlimited by Boost w385 to my N810. I have unlimited talk/text/web. My phone gets on the web OK.

The N810 and phone connect and then immediately disconnect. On the phone it says the N810 profile is headset and OBEX service. The N810 says the phones profile is only FTP and OPP only. I have tried putting the GPRS as "data call" and the dial-up number as s-2, s=2#777, and just #777. I've tried them all and none work.

According to this website, the w385 supports DUN. Is it possible that Boost Mobile is blocking this? Please understand that I have the unlimited by boost service... not the regular prepaid. Maybe this makes a difference?

Does anyone have this same configuration and got it to work? Is it possible to use any phone with bluetooth capabilities as a modem for my N810? Or what am I doing wrong?

I went to http://www.cellular-store.com/categorybluetooth.aspx to see that the w385 supports DUN. I tried the how-to on this website http://www.scoutpal.com/db/btmodem.htm

I've tried that many times. I get the "connection failed to phone motorola w385. Try again?" error.

Perhaps PM YoDude. He seems to know a lot about such things.

you will probably need a program called bit pim (avail @sourceforge) and a good reading of this site
http://mark.cdmaforums.com/

if you google (or search delicious.com) for how to enable dun in 10 easy steps or something like that that will give you a step by step how to

i have seen a n810 and 770 tether to a cdma phone

I used to tether my N810 to my CDMA Motorola Razr and it worked like a charm. When I switched my phone out for a CDMA HTC Touch Diamond (Windows Mobile 6.1) it would establish a Bluetooth connection, but then immediately drop and not connect.

All I had to do was change the Connection Type from "GPRS" to "Data Call" in the Connections set up screen, and it works perfectly. (Left "Dial-Up Number" the same at #777 with no User Name or Password as before)

Not sure why the difference, but it worked for me...
