Remember the sweet holy time when Meego OBS was alive, and you had your very own personal repository?
Well, that awesome time has returned!

We launched the OpenRepos.net!

OpenRepos is a community driven personal repository system for Harmattan and Sailfish operating systems. It provides a repository which can be enabled on your device.

The Idea of OpenRepos

Categories, tags, likes, stars, comments for your applications will provide you enough feedback if user want to share his own point of view.

If you are an developer, register at OpenRepos and create your own personal repository with just one step! Your personal repository will be created within 1-2 mins after you create and upload your first architecture specific program package!
We need your applications!

If you are an user, register at OpenRepos to rate, comment and stuff applications.

Create personal repository for your very own trusted applications, populate it with new versions of software, rare applications found on the web, write description in format of review, and if your applications are cool, and you upload mainstream version, people will enable your repository!

To enable developers' personal Harmattan repository you will need to add the following lines to your sources.list:
Code:
deb http://harmattan.openrepos.net/developername personal main
To enable SailfishOS repository, use zypper tool with repo file:
Code:
zypper ar -f http://sailfish.openrepos.net/DeveloperName/personal-main.repo
Where "developername" is name of developer from openrepos.net, and you are done!
For example, my personal repository info.

Native client apps for OpenRepos.net which enables you browsing, commenting, rating, and enabling personal repositories is in developing for N9 and Jolla.
Subscribe to your favorite developers with just one tap!

Read the same text on OpenRepos.net site.

PS. Happy first Birthday, @JollaHQ

Any plans to support SSL (i.e. to use https connections) just like the official repositories?

Will there be an app for end-users to conveniently browse available repositories and to subscribe/unsubscribe from them? Perhaps an option to "hide" the repository-stuff and browse/install/uninstall available apps; I reckon end-users might not be too interested in who's making the apps, sad as that sounds...

Also, are there plans like hosting DVCS's like Mecurial/Git? Forums and issues? Or do you refer to the Bitbuckets and Githubs for that?

(Currently I've put my app on Nokia's project site, which provides a dvcs, wiki, forum, issues, file hosting combined under one umbrella. I kinda like that)

Finally: support for OpenID, or heck, certificate-based logins, would be welcome. We're not n00bs and understand perfectly well there are better & easier things than "login and password" :P
