Hi, I'm a new guy on this forum. So hello everybody!

I'm an experienced linux user and I want to develop on maemo. I have written GTK+ applications for linux using C. Rigth now I'm developing a application named MultiTimer for Maemo 5. There are going be three modes in this program: clock, timer and stopwatch. There won't be an alarm clock because it has been already integrated into the operating system. This is a joint project between me and joppu who is designing the user interface. So what do you guys think?

So yeah, since the development is still in early phase, I can only post this mockup of what it's going to look like.

Also make sure it stops screen update timers when going into the background/display blanked :-)

Looks good.

Really good-looking app!

Two thoughts:

1. display stopped lap time on the side for people who use it when running.

2. Maybe try integrating it with eCoach so I could save best times etc.

It would also be a super feature if you could have an option where the countdown timer could count up when it hits zero, this would appeal to a community of Thermal Duration glider types, etc. Old timex watches would do this kind of thing, but I don't seem to use watches much anymore.

Thanks, Thor

Looks great - and a simple countdown timer is one of the app I miss the most on the N900.

My only suggestion: keep it as simple as it can possibly be, get it out there and then add more features / improvements based on real usage feedback.
