Hello;
in wishing for a better browsing experience on SFOS,
servo seems to be a relevant alternative (at least in terms of quality).
Now of course on the quantity side, the problem is very much complex and of no easy solution.
So a first step is to get LLVM to work properly on MER. Tinkering around with it has brought up some limitations of scratchbox2 (on x86 at least), as well as problems with missed syscall hooks;
which actually is a very big problem, of no easy solution. The hooking of internal glibc api's is not possible from outside, but patching is an ugly retro-verted solution as well.
Perhaps a trampoline-based hooking could work better?
