I am a fairly competent Ubuntu user and have had Ubuntu as my OS since Breezy. I mention this because only a Linux user can unleash the true powers of this awesome device.
Since getting my hands on the N800, I played around with the pre-installed software and then used the App installer to install a bunch of softwares from the default repositories.
Once I was comfortable with the device I flashed the N800 with the latest firmware.
Since then I have installed the following:
microb-browser, Skype
AisleRiot Solitaire
Soduko
Maemopad+
Camera
Open ssh, BecomeRoot, xterm
Kagu, UKMP and mplayer
12 pt Themes, NuvoBlack
OM Weather, Status Clock, Internet Radio, Simple Lanuncher
and maybe more...
This device beats the iPod Touch hands down!
I had installed Maemo Mapper but failed to understand how it works!
I am sure the way i am going, I'll break some application install soon. Wish me luck!
