If you set it to the same time as the "Switch off display" setting, then it will go straight to off with no dim.

With this you can select up to 24 hour, or 1440 minutes from the control panel display settings

DIMMER:

gconftool-2 --type "list" --list-type "int" --set "/system/osso/dsm/display/possible_display_dim_timeouts" "[10,30,60,120,300,600,1200,1800,3600,86400]"

BLANKER:

gconftool-2 --type "list" --list-type "int" --set "/system/osso/dsm/display/possible_display_blank_timeouts" "[10,30,60,120,300,600,1200,1800,3600,86400]"

Where did you get mclock from? It doesn't show as available yet.

Edit: Never mind. I found it at Maemo. It shows not available at Garage Maemo.

Right now, it's only in Downloads. Only got the garage project up this week, but hadn't yet any spare time to invest.

Yeah. It's all that I use for that type of thing. Makes updating display settings really easy as you don't have to remember that long stringed command.
