I'm hoping that my N800 & 2 8GB sd cards will arrive by the middle of next week. I'm wondering what my first steps should be:

1. Reflash firmware?
2. Install ssh?
3. Install extra software?

I don't run Windows here...Just Linux and occasionally OS X (Tiger). As far as extra software goes, are there deb repositories I should add to my sources.list? Any software I should download in advance?

Thanks for any tips...I can't wait for my new toy

I recieved mine today. I played with it for a few minutes but did not add anything as i knew i was going to upgrade it so that I could use my sdhc sd cards. So after about 20 minutes of playing i installed the 38-2 software and then started configuring the device with email and contacts.

As for the rest, I have not done so yet but will be adding ssh xterm and other apps soon. I do not know what repositories to add yet. I am still looking through all of the information on this site.
