I know that the linux kernel for the n800 is stripped down. I'm trying to figure out how to add commands to the kernel like "cal" for calendar or options for "date". These are very useful when trying to get a date in the past or future, especially when there is no wi-fi for internet access.[...]

Also, are these only available to the bash terminal?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
