i've loaded it from the repository and installed it but i don't know where it was loaded. do i have to restart my 770 to see it?

have you looked in the "extra" folder?

yep, nothing there but mapper, fbreader, calendar, and maemo pad

If you are using 2008OS, its in Utilities... and you have to scroll down a bit to see it.

He has a 770, so probably not.

To the original poster, it has always shown up right away for me, I'm guessing something with the install went wrong, I'd remove it and put it back in again.

same thing happened. i noticed when i installed mplayer, it asked me where i wanted to load it. but xterm just said that it was installed.

is there a new repository for it? I found a install file and it didn't work either. What gives. I'm sure it's user error. Is there a pictorial on how to do this? Oh yeah, I'm running OS06 3.2006.49-2

You tried rebooting? I had the same problem with a few apps and they always showed up after a reboot.

tried that. I'll try it again for ol times sake. I also did the wlan bugfix. I haven't reflashed it. The instructions say it's a good idea, though. I'm trying to avoid it if I can.
