Hi!

I have used previously commandline flashers in Mac & Linux platforms, However, Flashing into OS2008 by using Windows Flasher was really intuitive and fast process. I did it in parallels (hope you have IntelMac)

but as said you can also use command line flasher (consult maemo.org)

However, what I miss most is Nokia Multimedia Transfer for N800..

The Internet Tablet Wiki (on this site) has information on updating using Mac OSX. It will point you to Flegg's gui updater. Unfortunately the instructions do not take into account the hardware differences between the N810 and the N800 (no card removal, no home button). And Flegg has sold his mac and not yet got a N810 (as of yesterday). So he can't be expected to add to the wiki. But if there is a N810 user who has updated on a mac, it would be very helpful if you could add to the ITT wiki. Thanks,

I'm a Mac user and I think it's just really bad that there's no Mac version. Nokia's never supported Mac. When I have to do an upgrade I take one of my PC friends out for lunch and just after I say that I'd like to pick up the check I mention the Nokia/Mac problem. It works like a charm.

If you're smart enough to use a Mac or *nix box, you don't need no stinking wizards ...

I've updated my N800 using the good old "flasher-2.0.macosx" provided by Nokia.

The only thing you have to do special is run it as root. So assuming you are a administrator on your mac, just open a terminal where you downloaded the flasher and image files and type "sudo ./flasher-2.0.macosx" and add all the command line switches the same as linux.

Basically it is exactly the same as linux except the name of the flasher binary is different. But I did the "leaked" OS2008 image on my mac and used the linux instructions and it worked just fine.
