Hi people!

I just received my N810 today! It's beautiful but I'm not quite convinced on moving my web browsing experience to the N810 just yet.

What are the best browsers out there for the N810? Also, what platform will I be downloading for? Sorry as I'm not very clued in on the OS and functionality of it all.

There's only MicroB for OS2008. Forget about downloading "regular" software. Only software that has been compiled for the maemo platform works. I suggest you do some reading either on www.maemo.org or here...

Thanks a lot! What's the pre-loaded browser called? Also how safe is the default browser from spyware or trojans? Thank you.

Would you log in to financial institutions using it?

The browser is called MicoB - think of it as Firefox light.
Since the N810 is running linux you are very save compared to say a windows desktop. However i would not use it to log into financial institutions - not because of the OS but because i'm connected via WLAN which is just not secure...

SSL security works on financial sites, so you'll be fine.

MicroB is an implementation of the gecko layout engine ( 1.9 I believe) this is the same engine will run Firefox 3 when it comes out. check it out here.
And for future reference, I am not trying to be mean but lots of thing have been answered in either our wiki or Maemo.com's wiki. Check them out some time and you will find tons of answers.
