So, has anyone found a 100% way to make mplayer work on OS 2008 without sound loss or video sync problems?

I just (3:45pm EST 12/30) did a check for updates via the Application Manager and a new version of MPlayer was available.

So far the sound seems to be in sync...

Yeah it's working well for me too...

BTW, is there a way configre the MicroB browser to use Mplayer to open WMV videos. The built in Media Player complains "Media codec not supported".
If I copy the link location and paste it in MPlayer it runs fine.
I'd like to elliminate the cut and paste if I can.

No issues for me. I ran it directly and via Canola2 and I couldn't recreate your problem.

Cool!..

1. Now grab your dead bat.
2. Thrust it toward the top of the page you are viewing right now.
3. Mash it's dead head into the "software" icon.
4. When the page loads, mash his dead , and now bleeding head onto the word "multimedia" under OS2007
5. Scroll down and mash again where it says "MPlayer".
6. Mash again where it says "homepage", then once again where it says "garage project page ".
7. Follow the instructions for installation by mashing "OS2008 build of MPlayer is available for testing ".
8. Disgard dead bat and wash your dang hands.

- bump on this! it is *very* annoying not to be able to configure app-specific launching via the Web browser!

- and +1 on the workaround!
