Received a N800 for Christmas, upgraded to OS2008 and love it... except for the included headphones, which I would like to replace with a bluetooth stereo headset to use with Canola/Skype etc.

Searching through the forum postings it appears - if I understand things correctly - that many of the difficulties getting bt headsets and n800 to play nice together have improved under OS2008... this posting about the Lubix UBHS-NC1-K caught my attention:

Checked out some reviews online and am def. interested... But before I buy I would like to confirm:
  • all the controls (volume/play/etc) work with audio apps
  • works with Skype
  • if I am listening to an mp3 will it signal when a call comes through on Skype and allow me to pause the track and switch to the call?

Thanks for any help!

1) A2DP works, see this post how to make it work
2) Works great with Skype
3) Haven't try listening to mp3 and receiving a call from Skype

Hopes this helps, I'm very happy with the Lubix headset, I got them $40 @ buy.com, hope this can help you

No, A2DP is not yet supported in OS2008. You are probably using another BT profile (HSP/HFP maybe?).
