After the ringing endorsement of the N810 by Jenn of Pocketables (in comments on a post about the Tilt and x7501 in harmony), I decided to check out prices again. I discovered what seems to me a great option for those (in the US at least) wanting to take one of these babies out for a spin. Unfortunately, it does mean dealing with the Evil Empire (but I guess it's pretty impossible to be exploitation-free these days).

Anyway, the deal is this: WalMart has it for $428.88 + 97 cents shipping, apparently with no restocking fee for returns (at least 15 days to play with it ).
