Hi, I've tried several times to install Canola 2 onto my N800 running OS2008 latest.
Currently it installs but finishes with a message "Install failed".

In red pill mode when I inspect the Application details under dependancies, it indicates that it has conflicts with:
Canola
canola-app-** (a bunch of these)
canola-applet-* (a bunch of these)
etc
libcanola1.0-* (a bunch of these)
libcanola-plugins- (a bunch of these)

So it seems to me that somehow I have installed canola 1 at some time, however I can't imaging how this occured or if so how to remove it??

Help please.

Thanks
Howard

OK problem solved.

it seems i was suffering from a case of depencency hell.
After an hour of deleting all those nasty red files, canola2 install peeerfectly.
i think i may have installed a bad copy of python during the recent repository problems.

Cheers
Howard

Pleased you solved your own problem. Do give feedback on your thoughts on Canola2 Beta, I am looking forward to the imminent updates that will bring the overall capability up-to and past that which was available in Canola1
