How do I install flash on the N800?

All you have to have is the latest OS flashed, which is OS2008. That will include the MicroB browser and Flash 9 installed.

I have the following questions:
1: How do I extend the virtual memory beyond 128 MB. I have a 2GB internal memory card + a 128MB removable card.

2:How do I login the system as root.
In the X Terminal session, I sudo as root (sudo root), got the password prompt, entered a null password (no password). pwd and whoami indiactes that I am user and no root.

1. I do not think you can extend virtual memory past 128mb.

2. "sudo gainroot" should do it.

I don't know if this will be any help . but this GPScamera works great.

GPScamera software for the n8x0 works great . you can email the phtos or send them to flicker . after there on flicker you can see your photos on google map.

Yeah, too bad the camera itself sucks. I think the next IT needs at least a 3MP or better camera.
