I am looking for a good calendar solution for the N800. GPE unfortunately doesn't have enough options (no 'note' or 'location' field). These are the requirements I need:

-Ical import
-Entry fields for 'note' 'location'

Not needed but would be nice:
-Linux (evolution) synchronization

Gene Cash's calendar works for me. Not sure what you mean by "notes", it has a fair chunk of space to write things, but not a note as such. It does integrate to his ToDo app, you might be able to use that.

2007 only, add his repository via www.gronmayer/it

I just installed GPE Calendar today, and I notice that the events have a "Details" tab with a "Location" field and a "Description" field. These seem to fit the bill of what you are looking for. As to iCal import, I have no idea. There is an "Import" menu item, though . . .

Have not used GPE enough to make any comment on stability, usability, etc., but in playing around with it it seems (a) stable so far (on N800, OS2008) and (b) like it has enough features to be really useful.

I use gpe calendar and gpe todo. Both works fine, also use gpe summary for displaying on the home screen. I can confirm that gpe works with iCal files, my online school schedule has an option to save ical and it imported just fine. I dont get what you mean with not enoughdetails options in it.... as abby_normal says theres an entire tab called details

Thanks guys you are absolutely right! I did notice the "Details" before bit it didn't have any entry then. Thanks to your sugegstions I am now a lot more accustomed to GPE and I must say it works!

Now if I only could get calendar sync working....
(See link for details http://bugs.linuxtogo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143)

P.S.
Gene Cash's calendar looks excellent but is OS 2007 only :'(
