I know this has been discussed before but now that people have been using the N810 for a month or two, has anyone any particular recommendations to make on available screen protectors?
I bought one from the Siem Shop on eBay which I just could not get attached bubble free on the screen so I ditched it.
Or maybe an SP just isn't necessary?

Some people claim that using screen protectors dull the sensitivity of the screen, although I have never experienced this problem. Others claim that the screen protectors actually scratch faster than the screen without one, but I say so what? That's kind of the point. You can easily remove it and put a fresh one on. Try doing that with a screen without a protector.

As for a recommendation, I use this screen protector made by Pelican Accessories for the PSP. It's exactly the right height, and about 1/8" longer than you need. Just trim it to length and apply. An advantage to using this one is that you can find it at most major electronics stores for under $6.00 instead of having to order it online (may not be an issue for some people, but I prefer brick-and-mortar stores when available)

Just grab the Anti-Glare protector for the N800 from Boxwave.

i) Many people tend to endorse a product they have just bought. Little is less reliable than the opinion of a satisfied customer.
ii) Screen protectors are difficult to apply and experience improves application. So many folks will prefer their second protector -- if they had difficulty with the first -- because it was appied better.
Useful information could come from anyone who has used more than one type AND preferred the first. Such opinions would be free of the biases arising from i) and ii). Can anyone report on such a comparison? Note that the imprtance of glare differs 770 800 N810.
(I am being careful not to indicate the one brand I have used.)

I have used the Fellowes WriteRight, Vikuiti ARM200 and Boxwave anti-glare. All of them are of the anti-glare and removable kind.

The Fellowes protector was on my n800 when I bought it second hand, I could tell by the label that was on it. It was the most grippy of the three, kind of rubbery. It also looked quite fuzzy and had a grid-like texture. It consisted of two pieces and didn't exactly fit on the screen like the two others. I Don't know if they come in the right size.

I Then bought the Vikuiti ARMR200. It had no fuzzyness but was a tad too slippery for my taste.

I now use the Boxwave anti-glare. There is a tiny bit of fuzzyness, especially when the screen is white you can see some 'color noise'. In terms of grip it is somewhere in between the two others.

I suggest you just buy a few and see what you like since it is not a major investment or anything.

See the wiki for tips on how to apply them.

Currently using a Boxwave crystal on my N800. I was quite impressed; The colour is not dulled and it has vey good scratch resistance!

I just wish they had non-adhesive ones that slid under the screen edges because there's a 1mm border on the left hand side where I couldn't quite get the SP into. It'll be handy if I ever need to remove it, but I just *know* that gap is gonna get full of gunk

I bought one (sorry, I forget the brand) which made my touchscreen unusable. It was as if my screen had slid about 5 inches to the left. The icons along the left-hand side worked when I clicked nearly all the over to the right side.

There is a seller on ebay called screenpatronus that sells the one I'm using right now. Very clear, easy to apply with no adhesive (uses a washable silicon PET layer), and does not affect the touch sensitivity at all. I'm really happy with it and it was $11.50 shipped for 3. I can use the other one for my PSP since it's the same size.

Man I can't figure out why anyone would pay $4 for a piece of screen protector.
