Is there a way to restrict media scanning (of the default mediaplayer and gmplayer) to certain directories ?
The thing is: i have a dump ok wikipedia on my mmc with LOTS of files. And it drains the battery VERY fast because the mediaplayer's crawler goes through all those files all the time...
Same goes for gmplayer : it doesn't even start cause it takes forever (never waited longer than 5 minutes) to scan all files on startup.
Actually i would prefer for all media scanners to be restricted to certain directories and only update on demand. Automatic scanning is often unnecessary and just wastes cpu-time and therefore battery time...
