Stupid question, but how do you spell-check anything using your 770 ? I just got it last week and this has eluded me so far

I don't think there's a spell-checker.

That would require spelling databases. And for the number of languages on this machine, and the limited memory available, Nokia just probably skipped it on this version.

I know for sure that the spelling function on abiword is not selectable.

when I'm not sure how to spell a word, I'll look it up the old fashioned way-- on the internet.

No spell-check... The horror !!!

I thought that with word completion, spellchecker would be there as well... Oh well there is always web mail. It is too bad, I was hoping to actually make use of the mail client. (I never send an email without spellchecking)

Hey, don't take my word for it, since I haven't really looked into it, but I don't think there is. The word completion (which I turned off), i think just stores words you commonly use. I may be wrong, but thats what I remember.

Yep, I think that's right. I turned it off too though!

You could be really, really old fashioned and see if you can find a dictionary to download as an eBook into FBReader
