Where to download apps - maemo.org

I was wondering if there was a site to download app onto my laptop then transfer them via usb onto my N810 kinda like off line installation.

You can download .deb files straight from repositories, for example

http://repository.maemo.org/extras/pool/chinook/

You can search to find the repositories contaning your desired application here.
