Some of the deals at CompUSA's going-out-of-business sale have been mentioned here, but I got one this weekend that I thought I had to pass on.

They had the N800 navigation kit, brand new, for FIFTY-SEVEN dollars. Pretty good deal for a GPS receiver, car power adapter, and 2GB mini SD card, to say nothing of the navigation license.

If you're near a CompUSA that hasn't closed yet and you've been thinking about getting the nav kit, might be worth dropping by.

I thought all the stores were closed. Does anyone know if any of the Baltimore, MD stores are still open? That is a great deal. If I could find one for that price, it would sway me towards buying the N800 as a navigation system with a good GPS receiver is just what I'm looking for in a IT.

Would the N800 license work on the N810? I'd like to get one for that kinda price.

yes you can transfer your licence from navicore to wayfinder : it becomes a 3 year licence in the process ... but for $57 I suppose it is stilla very good deal

Does Navicore require an internet connection to work?

No it doesn't. (You only need internet connection to download new/updated maps, and possibly activate the license. These all are one time thing only.)
