no, I didn't... but I could have *sworn* I'd seen them on newegg or one of the spots a few days ago. Not seeing any 16G mini SDHC cards now, tho... hmm.

any particular reason why you need a mini (is not not solely for your NIT?) ?

I think mini SD (sdhc) is the lame duck of the SD formats. Normal size SD cards offer more capacity and microSD cards are more portable. i.e. Using an adapter you can make it fit any SD format size. I'm surprise Nokia just didn't put a microSD card slot on the N810 or two microSD card slots instead of the miniSD slot.

I haven't seen or heard announced any 16 GB mini SD cards. Not many devices use them natively outside the N810 and some older cell phones.

noop. I know Sandisk has a 12GB micro, just not for sale yet. I'm reading 12GB Micro's for the public available by the middle to end of spring and 16GB's by the end of the year. As for the mini, I think in the industry it's being categorized as the black sheep of the family. Still, a 8GB mini card for $40.00 at NewEgg isn't a bad deal. Just have to deal with switching them out in the N810.

I haven't been able to find any 16GB Mini SDHC anywhere yet either. But I did find a good deal on a 8GB at newegg. I read in another thread someone reported the 4GB Patriot as working fine in the N810, so I guess this one should be OK.

From what I understand there probably won't be any 16 GB miniSD. Quite frankly, its a dead format, none of the card manufacturers are working on expanding it, instead concentrating on microSD and SD. I've actually read that the 16GB microSD should probably be announced around the same time that the 12GB is released, so I'd guess its probably coming end of summer. With SDHC's limit at 32GB, it seems like not long before we'll be at the limit for SDHC and microSDHC, and have another new format shoved down our throats. Then again, I'd definitely be happy with 'only' 32GB of space in my internet tablet or smartphone.
