I have searched and not found anything like this, but it seems to me a killer app for this device would be a soft key board big enough to thumb type with, in place of the built in keyboard app. I have been able to thumb type -almost- with the built in, but bigger keys would really be a HUGE advantage. ANything out there that exists or could be ported?

I swear I've been thinking of this since the first day I got my 770 but never felt like typing. Wow...I'm lazy.

As long as it's nothing like the "Origami Dumb Keyboard", I'm game.

I've used the Spb Full Screen Keyboard for Pocket PC, and it works well, for what it is. It's very responsive, and you can get some good speeds on it. There's a small single line of text visible while you're using it... I would choose this as a model over Dialkeys, just because Dialkeys is meant for a larger device. Just an idea.

I believe you can use Bluetooth keyboards to work with your Nokia 770. There is a software program written by Maemo I think, that will allow you to sync up a bluetooth keyboard and the Nokia 770. There are some that won't sync up though. I'm not sure though... But I think the bluetooth keyboard made by Nokia should work...

I was thinkng about this too. How about:

A full screen partially transparent software keyboard. This way you can type, but still see what you are entering text into underneath.

Could the 770 handle it? Does the 2d accelerator have any provision for transparency blending? Could the DSP do it?
