I am having problems with the onboard OS2008 media center...I try to open mp4 videos, open internet radio streams, or onboard mp3 files and i get a blank black screen. The play button is ghosted, as if it is playing...but nothing happens

Any help would be appreciated

i am on a brand new N810

Playing you own videos can be a challenge, be sure to conduct a search for "video converter" for example.
Do you have the same problem with the demo video or music that was pre-installed?
How about the BBC web radio?

I have tried to play the pre-installed media, it also does not work, unless it is supposed to take a very long time to load/buffer

using with high speed wireless g, my web pages load fast, so the problem is not that

the bbc link seems to show that it is streaming (ghosted play button) but no audio

i saw a newer version of OS2008 is available, maybe i should load that?

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the built in Media Player.
I'm ignorant of UPnP servers
good luck

yeah, it is the built in media player that is the problem....

nothing out of the sample (pre-loaded) media works, i just get a blank-black screen and no audio/video

thanks in advance

This feature should work out of the box. If you didn't buy it new try re flashing it to reset everything. If you did buy new consider returning it.
