Here is what works: Nokia 770 connects to Motorola V360 via Bluetooth, to access the internet and exchange files.
The T-Mobile SDA refuses the Bluetooth connection from the Nokia 770.
My present internet connected devices with T-Mobile GPRS:
1. palmOne Treo 600 (Unlocked) - Full data 53K
2. Sony Ericsson GC79 - Full data 53K
3. Motorola V360 - [Line 1] Full data 128K, EDGE, Bluetooth
4. T-Mobile SDA (unlocked) - [Line 2, VPN] WAP data 128K, EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
Why does the T-Mobile SDA reject the Nokia 770?
1. Microsoft programmed Windows Mobile 5 to reject connections with Non-Windows devices?
2. Nokia 770 is not designed to utilize a WAP connect through Bluetooth? [Access point is wap.voicestream.com]
On the T-Mobile SDA, changing the Access point to internet2.voicestream.com and/or internet3.voicestream.com causes the SDA to no longer use GPRS as it's internet connection. However, if the SIM chip is moved to the Treo 600, internet3.voicestream.com (on the Treo 600) works to connect to the internet.
Recently, during traveling to Oregon, my mom was using her new laptop with the Motorola V360's Bluetooth connection. Since the V360 is 1-channel Bluetooth, the 770 could not use it at the same time. Multiple attempts to get the 770 to use the SDA's had failed. I just had to wait until my mom was done chatting in mIRC, so I can connect with the V360.
Any ideas on how to get the T-Mobile SDA to talk with the Nokia 770?
