The application is easy enough for syncing inbox for offline but for the life of me, I cannot figure out which settings I need in order to compose and queue offline for sending when I have wifi access. I'm using gmail imap. Everytime I try it I get the same error "coud not queue message". I have the queue folder ticked for synchronize for offline use - I think I've tried every combination of settings possible but still no luck. Any Help? Thanks

I probably have a very different email setup from you, but in order to get "Drafts" and "Queue" working for offline use, I had to create a local mbox mailbox. You might need to install the "claws-mail-mailmbox" module for this. (I installed ALL modules so I'm not sure.)

Select the menu "File->Add mailbox->MH...". This will create a new "Mailbox (MH)" folder at the bottom of your folder list. Then go to "Configuration->Preferences for current account...->Advanced". At the bottom of that screen, click the checkboxes for "Put queued messages in ..." and "Put draft messages in ..." and "Browse" to the "Mailbox (MH)->Queue" and "Mailbox (MH)->Drafts" folders. Click "Apply" and try to send some mail.

That seems to have done it after a quick test. Thanks very much! - Seems way too obscure for me, Why wouldn't they just enable that automatically if you indicated you wanted to work offline? Was this in the documentation anywhere?

I don't think it was in the documentation anywhere. My situation was that I had an IMAP server where I didn't want to have "Drafts" and "Queue" folders cluttering up my home directory on the server. I was lucky enough to read a thread by some other intelligent forum members who figured it out. I thought the technique might work for you. (I can't seem to find that post anymore though...)
