something tells me that it sets up a virtual display using drivers and then compress the graphics stream somehow. that compression is probably proprietary, so i would not expect a driver for it on maemo any time soon...

Even if it is proprietary, if the tablets have a bigger market for the USB->DVI device than elsewhere, I'd hope they would see their way to support it. Am I being Naive?
How many other devices *need* USB support for multiple monitors out? PC's and Macs already have hardware solutions for multiple monitors. For $129, you can get some pretty nice multiple monitor graphics cards nowadays.

There are already similar devices which are supported by linux - those with SiS chipset. For example, sitecom cn-105.

A device to get DVI out from a USB port (and up to 6 monitors?!?). Right now it is windows only, they say mac support is coming, but for a niche device like this, if they heard some noise from the ITT crowd, they might be developing for it.
I figured I'd see a thread here about it, but since I didn't and I got nothing with a google search with site:internettablettalk.com, I figured I'd post it. Obviously there is work to do getting the drivers and such onto maemo for the tablets, but it seems the most promising device I've seen to meet that need.
Hope this is informative and not just noise.
