The prices on the N800 have been oscillating on TigerDirect (239.99 yesterday and 2 days ago and 219.99 on other days) and have been around 225 shipped+taxes (if not much more) almost everywhere after relevant coupons etc...

My question is this:
A) What's the best place to buy the n800 from (especially return-wise if the WiMax version comes out)
B) Should I wait for the WiMax version until April 1 for the price of the N800 to drop? I know the N800 went down to 180 when the N810 came out, but will we see a similar/lower drop if WiMax is announced on April 1?

Thanks for your opinions

Cheers!

I checked over at CompUSA and they have it for $239.99 as well, but if you pay using PayPal you can get 10% off ($20 max) - so that takes 'er down to $219.00, which isn't too shabby!

I'm stocking up - you never get 10% off anywhere anymore it seems - at least on electronics!

After shipping, Buy.com - $10 coupon (available almost everywhere on the internet) is 218.99 which is cheaper.

The Compusa site looks eerily similar to the tigerdirect site, so maybe we may be able to snag an n800 for a little over 200 if the prices vary together (and drop to 219.99 before the paypal offer)

I'm waiting for the weekend

Cheers!

That's because Systemax (Tiger Direct's parent company) just acquired CompUSA, or at least the 16 CompUSA stores that didn't close when the company went under.

Just ordered mine from buy.com, using the 'revolutioncard'? for a $50 discount and bring this down to $228.99 - $50 = $178.99 with free S/H. $50 discount good till end of April.

Can we expect the price of the unit to go down further in the coming weeks?

I am also interested in buying the N800. I heard you can get it well under $200 if you look around. However, have yet to find any store with it under $200. Any suggestion would be welcomed! TY.

I've been following their ebay auctions and the lowest best offer they have accepted has been $170. I saw two sell at that offer price. Good luck.
